Building activity into your day gives you more energy and strengthens joints. It doesn’t have to be a vigorous workout – all movement counts as exercise. Regular exercise also helps to burn excess calories which otherwise can be stored as fat in the body.

If you spend a lot of time sitting down during the day try to find ways of reducing it with enjoyable active alternatives. Even standing or walking in your daily routine makes a difference.
